This Sumatran coffee is named for the endangered “Harimau” (Tiger) of the Aceh region of northern Sumatra. There are less than 600 of this smallest species of tiger in existence, only found on the island of Sumatra. The co-op allows very small farmers from the region to get their unique and delicious coffee into the hands of specialty coffee lovers around the world.
We roast this one darker to highlight the strong notes from the wet-hulled process of Indonesian coffees. We especially loved it in a pour-over, but it’s great with cream or in espresso form. This one is a winner for strong coffee lovers.
This coffee has a full body, with a chocolatey, earthy, and smoky sweetness.
Origin: Aceh, Sumatra, Indonesia
Bean Variety: Arabica
Process: Wet-Hulled
